my wife and I took our Hobie Oasis "Coho Bandit" to Siltcoos Lake today to practice netting fish for each other in anticipation of needing that skill for coho soon.

as a result, my wife is now a kayak fisherwoman! she brought in 4 SRC and in the middle I got an 18" rainbow...in this short video, you see our first netting (small SRC) and also the last, much better, netting of the day (largest SRC)...we feel ready for the coho!  and all my rigging for the Oasis worked great, including the TraderJoes kill bag on the back.

by the way, Siltcoos temp is 67F, water level is normal (not low), and no coho to be seen, not a single jump or roll in 2 days there, also almost no other boats (except we saw GoldenDog there yesterday) we need a good rain!  we will be fishing there regularly between now and early November, PM me if you are headed that way and want the latest observation we have....cheers, roger

Nice job! It was probably a couple of those cutties that were bumping my blue fox on Wed. I am going to try again on Sunday.
