I hate to part with it, but my knee is shot from a skiing accident, and it's not getting better. Killed the Coho this year with this rig, and I'm including it all, even the Thule extendable roof rack for only $2,500!!

So the thought of not yaking for salmon is making me sad. I am likely going to still sell this rig and look at paddle rigs. Anyone have thoughts on the best paddle yak for trolling salmon? Should I stick with Hobie? I see lots of other options out there.

I would suggest the OK T13.

+1 on the OK. Great boat, readily available, inexpensive (compared to Hobie), and a very user friendly cockpit. My personal preference is the Malibu X-13. It's a bit more efficient than the OK, also with a great deck layout, and about the same price. The OK has more primary stability, so the X-13 feels a little twitchy in comparison until you get accustomed. It's not a boat for everyone like the OK, but worth you adding to your maybe list if you can try one out.
