New to NWKA

Hello this is Charles and I go by Majorgoals on most sites, on Muzzleloader sites I go by Elktipper.  I was a Scoutmaster for Troop 317 and have rented kayaks and taken our scout troop on 3 day excursions in the San Juan Islands a couple times. Spent a full week up on Sechelt Inlet up in British Columbia with our scouts.  We foraged for clams, oysters and fished our way through the week (crabs were scarce).  Paddled the length of Ross Lake into Canada at the north end and back by canoe with the scouts.  I recently traded some labor for an old Perception Acadia which appears to be a great ride for what little time I spent in her last summer.  After watching YouTube videos with people catching Halibut and Ling Cod off the coast of Washington I decided to get edumacated and a little more serious.  Purchased an Elite-4 HDI and am in the process of learning how to rig my yak with all the basics for more serious fishing in the Puget Sound but really am looking to launch over at Neah Bay/Seiku area.  Have caught salmon and halibut out of a motorized boat over there but have a learning curve ahead of me because of the currents/tides etc. which can be tricky if paddling.  I registered on the forum because there appears to be a great deal of accumulative knowledge and experience here.  I hope to contribute where I can.
