need help

My son really wants to go Halibut fishing this year. I do not have a 2 person Kayak and he is to young to go get butts from a yak. Need any input on a charter that is good. Thank yall.

What area

Any of the charters that go out of Newport to the "chicken ranch" will put you on fish. There are so many buts there its ridiculous.

Washington. No more than 3 hour drive from tacoma. Not picky just want to get him a butt. I'm military and may never have the chance again because of moving around.

Canada will probably be your best bet. Very long season, if i'm not mistaken you have almost the entire summer, so you don't have to fight bad weather or the masses.

La Push or Westport.   More charters in Westport and it will be a bit shorter drive, but a bit longer boat ride.   Most charters out of WP head NNW towards La Push waters. 

Neah Bay if you are up for more of a drive.
