My ride isn't a kayak, but a 14 foot rowing wherry that weighs in at 95 pounds.  I cartop it for fishing in Pacific City and the Portland area rivers.  Like a kayak, it's fast, small and tippy, and I've learned a lot about rigging from lurking here.

I grew up rowing small surf-launch boats down in Southern California, so the wherry is a return to my roots.  I also have a Pacific City Dory.

Stop and say hello if you see me on the water.

Tinman welcome to the site! I have enjoyed following your wherry threads on that other site =)
You should come join us for ORC out of Depoe Bay this summer.
