Into the hobby for about a year. Longtime fly fisher (wading, drift boat), I was interested in finding other ways to explore rivers. With the ability to stand in a Hobie PA, I figured it was worth a try. Modified it with a chain anchor and installed a stripping basket to the H-bar. Works surprisingly well, and lets me get on the water much easier than the drift boat. Anyway, another site led me here, and I'm always looking for ideas.

OK. Here we go.  This is where the Michiganonians pull out the left hand, hold it up (palm away thumb slightly sticking out), and point. FREAKS! All of them. I have seen it too many times. ;)

My favorite is when someone says they are from the "lower upper" or "upper lower" peninsula...  ???
It makes my non-Michigan head hurt a little. eh?

Welcome tjl, regardless of whichever peninsula you come from.

My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.
