here's a link to other coastal webcams.  It's been posted in some other threads but it may be new for some.

"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

Anyone besides me have issues with the Cape Kiwanda RV Resort webcam?  The images are always extremely dark and many times (like right now) there is no image whatsoever.  If I'm lucky, I can make out images of cars and people on the beach sometimes.

I'm trying to look at various forecasts and compare to live conditions.

Not to hijack, but Sunday is over.
The PC web cam is not from the RV Resort. It is from the Inn at Cape Kiwanda.
Please hang in there. A new camera is on the way. Go to http://www.yourlittlebeachtown.com/ to get the best live picture, how ever poor it is currently. We are constantly cycling the equipment to keep it online as much as possible until the new camera is installed.

This is the one I was referring to:

Thanks for the other sources.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Sunday was pretty darn awesome! Conditions were exactly as forecasted. Gentle offshore in the morning, switched to onshore at about 10 or 11 with a nice calm period in between, wind picked up steadily through the afternoon until it was really sloppy by the time I was heading in at about 3pm. Current was not bad either. It was north to south and seemed to build a little as the day went on. Plenty of hungry fish around! Seemed like everyone out there brought back some. Biggest fish to hit the cleaning table I believe was Spot's ~34 inch ling. Surf at the launch was pretty much non existent by mid afternoon since the only swell left was out of the northwest and not very big.

Thanks for the report! Sorry I missed it. The forecast looked awesome. Next time.
