I don't have a video camera yet, so the still photo's are the best I can do.  Sorry.    :(

I went with the Anker 20,000 mAh Astro Pro based a great deal on the advice I received from many of you here at NWKA.  The wealth of knowledge here is vast, and the easy way you all share it is much appreciated by novices like myself.

The battery:

The battery box is a Plano Guide Series 3700.  I used a Dremel to recess the upper portion of the divider tabs to create a flush fit of the battery with the top of the box.  The lid seats down snug to the top of the battery.   I did this for a couple of reasons.  First, I figured I could have some additional storage in the bottom of the box if I kept the battery high, and secondly I thought if the box ever took on any water, I might be better off if the battery was held up out of the intruding water.

Took a bit of measuring to make sure all the ports were centered between the divider tabs.

The transducer fit very nicely in the Lowrance Ready transducer pocket once the bottom plate was modified slightly.  The Lowrance bracket tabs on the inside of the plate had to be cut off for the plate to be re-installed.  I left about 3/8" of tab, and this holds the Raymarine transducer snug.

The port and starboard gunnels only provide about 6" on each side to mount gear track (GT175).  I've seen others mount longer pieces here, but I didn't like how the track overhangs the footwell.  I picked up a 12" piece of track, and cut it in half to put 6" on each side.

A little fine tuning with the bench grinder to radius the newly cut corners.

Apparently I didn't get a shot of the completed track install.  You can see the port side in a photo farther down though.

The fishfinder installed.  Sorry about the thumb.  And the smudged screen.  The universal base plate mount attaching the Ram Mount to the gear track is temporary, and all I had available.  The replacement Ram Ball/Mighty Bolt I ordered arrived while I was out testing today.

It was pretty dark before I made it off the water.

I didn't get any shots of the wiring, but I spliced in a 5A watertight spade type fuse holder on the positive leg coming off the DC out wire.  I drilled a hole in the top of the box, ran the wire through, then drilled the same size hole in a spare divider tab (that came with the Plano box), and cut it from edge to hole to fit over the wire on top of the box.  I Gooped up the underneath side of the divider tab, then placed it over the drilled hole to make the penetration watertight.  The connection to the Raymarine power cord was done with a Weatherpack terminal kit.  All connections were soldered, basted with dielectric grease, and received heat shrink.

I still need to do a bit of wire management/housekeeping inside the hull, and figure out a way to lock down the battery box.  I'm leaning towards using a bit of hook and loop sticky velcro, but I'm not sure how well this will stick to the inside of the hull.  I'm thinking it might just pull up when I try and separate the battery box from the velcro.

Nice job on the Dragonfly install.   You could watch movies on that screen - it's HUGE!  Very nice fish finder selection and install! It will look streamlined once you get the RAM ball mounts on there.  Don't be shy about posting more photos.

Looks like the transducer is getting a good signal thru the plastic plate.  Do you have to turn your sensitivity up in order to get that signal?  I've read that sand can collect behind that cover plate and mess up the signal, so watch for that if you're near alot of sand or surf to accumulate in there.

Where did you run your wires going from the battery box to the Dfly?  It looks like you have your center hatch open - perhaps that was just for the test run as a place to put your battery box??  Does the Revo16 have thru-hull holes and waterproof connectors for the wiring?  Would be very interested to see more of the wiring photos.

Good Job! Thanks for documenting your install and sharing it.

If sand gets back there you've been doing some crazy off roading with it or something. ;D The only problem I ever noticed is sometimes you get a buildup of air bubbles after rough water. You'll get bad readings (ex. 0' when you know you're in 100' FOW) for a bit but they squirt out or pop and it's all back to normal.
