For those looking to purchase or replace their VHF radio-

The microphone on my Cobra crapped out so I'm pulling the trigger on a Standard Horizon HX300 VHF Floating (on sale for $119.95 at thegpsstore.com) free shipping, with the $20 rebate puts it under $100! Too bad the rebate doesn't apply to the HX851 (6 watts and GPS & DSC) for $124.95 and includes a bonus alkaline battery tray.

Better to keep ones mouth shut and presumed a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

I just bought the HX851 last week for that price. I figured it would be better to have the extra stuff for safety purposes then to be sorry. lol
