I had some custom decals of my yaks name made and would like to stick them on but have had issues in the past with stickers coming off like my gopro sticker etc. due to the texture of my boat, so I am a little apprehensive to put them on, just wondering if anyone has experience with this issue as well and have any fixes to it??

Never was into putting stickers on my yaks or boats, prefer to "go naked", I figure if a company wants me to advertise for them send me a check with the stickers...lol...warf

i have a few stickers on my kayak that seem to have adhered for a couple years now...  All I did was a little alcohol prep on the surface of the kayak and make sure it was a pretty warm day when I affixed the stickers (the hull and the sticker were warmed in the sun).

BuildAsign.com took a few weeks but they were priced right and you can customize them quite a bit.

Hobbies are smooth so stickers work great. On the first kayak I got I did a sharpie illustration and covered it with a spraycan clear coat. It put it in a place that would see the least wear and lasted a few years.

I wonder if BuildASign will do stickers small enough to put on a rod.  Need some made for me to put on rods I build.

Anyone ever try cleaning with alcohol, then heating up the sticker target area with a heat gun? I think that would improve the bond.
