Time to invent a saltwater proof paintball gun, as well as paint balls made with biomass that dissolves into fish food after thwapping a fur bag a few times.   8)

Well here's  start: http://www.paintball-online.com/Empire-Axe-Pro-Paintball-Gun-GNAXEPRO-0X.aspx cant say that's gonna cover everything but it's the only one they listed as having a waterproof rating

At $699.95, the Empire Axe Pro paintball gun seems a bit pricey.  Here's a more cost-effective way to harass pinnipeds:

Didn't say it was cheap Pete, just it was a start towards the saltwater proof paint ball gun... honestly I'd look at the bio degradable projectiles mice elf, but Hey, it's Insayn's project. With his engineering and creative abilities, I dn't think it would be beyond doable.

Like the marbles and wrist rocket idea though. nice n cheap.

A wrist rocket takes two hands.  If you fighting a fish you can keep you hand on the pole and start blazing away with the paintball gun.  Get a cheap gun from craigslist and slather it good with wd-40 and make a holster for it.  Although a ram mount for hands free aiming?

Wouldn't it be great if a pod of Killer Whales were to decide to make the mouth of the Columbia River their new hangout for awhile.  Hoping Sealions would be their first choice for a quick bite that is.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

For everyone in favor of the Marbles as Ammo idea, Amazon has some really good deals on 1/2 in., 14mm, and 9/16 dia. marbles, many of which are also called "slingshot ammo"

Are these Seals? Starts 0:20 seconds in.

It a sea lion is jumping on my kayak like that, I'm getting the hell out of there.  It may be trying to get out of the water for a reason other than the fish I might have ... shark!

I bet kayakers had been feeding them fish, and thought it was cool when they started jumping onto their kayaks.  Anything for some good YouTube footage, huh?  Now that seal will be a major pest for the rest of its life, and may have to be killed.  Don't feed bears, and don't feed seals.  It creates problems for the animals.
