My buddy had a campground reserved on S. Whidbey for Labor Day weekend.  He has been going there for quite a while now and inviting a few friends who don't fish a lot to introduce them to salmon fishing with the pink run.  He was notified that the campground is closed due to weakened trees, so he asked me to help him find a new spot.  Should be 6-7 guys total, all very respectful to the water and beaches.  He is coming up from Portland, and the rest are mostly in Seattle. We'll have a couple of kayaks, but a spot where we might catch a few from shore would be great. Any suggestions are appreciated.  PM me if you don't want to publicize a hot spot. Thanks!

Well, labor day is a few months from now, so you can keep your trout rod stowed for a bit.  ;)

I figured that was the case.  I almost put Memorial Day in my post and caught myself!  I know the pinks aren't highly regarded, but my friend really loves getting people into the sport.  One more appeal to the silent lurkers for some ideas to look into.
