Makes for a shorter paddle too :)   I have collected a set of pinned locations around the area where roads end at the beach and give access.  It's a Zipped KML (.kmz) file and you open it in Google Earth, it should appear as pins on the map.  There might be a way to open it in Google Maps instead, but not that I've found so far.   It won't let me upload a KML file as an attachment (zipped or plain), so if you like I can email it...

File has been sent.  :-)

I went out and chased flounder in Burley Lagoon today.  Whatever the fish population in there may be, it's still the same as before...   :-\

On the plus side, I was trying out a new el cheapo rig (a 4 1/2 ft kids rod with a $10 K-mart reel on it), and since I did not have a leash on it, naturally I let it slip out of my grasp while casting and down it went...  But, since I was anchored in about 5 ft of water against the tidal outflow, I just reeled in the anchor till it was basically bouncing along the bottom and drifted along the same way the rod had sunk...  Amazingly enough, the anchor did snag the line, and I was able to recover the rod  ::)  What the heck, it was fun even though I caught nothing but my own stuff...

I can't get enough of the underwater footage, Tyler. I think I'm going to have to take up diving or something. Really fun watching the flounder chasing your lure. I had a dream the other night that I found a good flounder spot in Oregon... perhaps it will come true.

I work in Nisqually Valley so this was a great video for me. Hope to get out there soon in my Jackson Big Rig.
Thanks for sharing.

Has anyone used a fly rod deep sinking line and heavy bugs to catch these guys?

I've got them on Clouser minnows and intermediate sinking line while searun cutt fishing. Complete by-catch though. I've never targeted them specifically with fly gear.

Jim, will send you a PM for the KML file.  The board admins could allow that type of file attachment, perhaps?
