Hello all !!  New to kayaking.  I just bought my first kayak it's a 10 foot lifetime fishing kayak.  I am mainly wanting to use it to fish and maybe some mild rivers.  I am also newer to fishing.  I fished when I was a kid but am wanting to get more involved now I am older.  I took the kayak out for the first time the other day and learned that sun screen is a must !!!!!  My lower legs are shot.  I will take all the info I can on rigging and tips and tricks.  I think the first thing I want to get is a fish finder/ depth.

Howdy and all that !

You sound a lot like my requirements, and one of the kayak's I'm considering is that very lifetime 10 footer. I'd love to hear more about your experience with it, stability/speed/quality. On paper it looks like a reasonably priced starter kayak with very basic features.

Where did you take it out so far ?

I have taken it to hagg.  It dig great IMO although in am no expert by no means.  It was very stable. I was able to stand up in it.  I am brand new to kayaks so the only issue I had was how wide it was. I kept hitting the side of the kayak with my paddle.  At the end of the day I was getting better.  Speed is kind of slow I don't yhave anything to compare it to. There are 2 dry section on the boat which are really nice but the openings are kinda small.  I paid 200 for the kayak and paddle at sports athor.  I was alittle worried about the. 2 scupper holes just behind the butt pad but never felt any water at all.   I am still learning. Bi would say its a great starter kayak I will use for along time.
