I just read a nice article on page 58 of the June Northwest Sportsman about Triangle Lake. I fished it once in the eighties, and caught some nice bass and bluegill. It seems that there are also Cutthroats and Kokanee in the lake. I would like to spend a weekday fishing there sometime in the next week or so. It seems a good opportunity to add another couple of species to my AOTY list. If anyone would like to join me, send me a PM.

I would like to give that lake a try sometime. I'm not sure if I'd be able to make it this week, but if you go let us know how it is.

I probably won't make it this week either, since the forecast calls for rain all week. Next week for sure if the weather clears up. I want to do it on a weekday as the weekends are very busy for water skiers.

I'd like to give it a try. Hult Pond might also be worth a go.

I used to fish this lake quite a bit when I was attending Oregon State (go Beavs!)  I never got any lunkers, but I have seen pics of some 6+ pounders.  It gets hit hard by water skiers and jetskies on the weekends.  Try fishing off the point in the SE corner of the lake for bass.

Back in the 90's in college (OSU) and high school i fished there a lot.  6lb was my biggest bass and hooked a "steelhead" I lost at the boat when they reintroduced them 15 years ago.  My old boss when I was in college had a house and boat on the lake he'd pull a couple of 8lb'ers out of there every year.

The biggest problem with Triangle used to be the rec boaters/skiers.  That place can be a mad house on nice weekends and it's all that big to get away from people.  Quite often it's the type of people Andyjade has so many fond stories of.  Been thinking about going back and trying again been about 5 years. I used to have fond memories of an awesome sunfish fishery.

Sounds like the Hagg Hui needs to descend and localize this joint. Me and my boy Vince will scour the kooky wakeboard d00ds from this Triangle Love Fest.

T-Lake still has a hardy population of yahoos. Descend & scour, please. Hult pond might have some good LMB lunkers. Kokanee run up there in the fall, don't know if their there year 'round.

I worked Triangle lake over pretty good today. Not much to show except a couple of small cutts, and a yellow perch. I did however talk to the only other guy on the lake fishing for kokanees. He managed to catch a limit, and now I know the secret! Tried fishing for bass with a rattle trap, and only caught masses of green slime! I haven't fished the lake since the mid-eighties, and nothing looked the same. So many compounds lining the west and north shores. I would hate to be on that lake on a weekend!

Just found this thread while researching Triangle Lake. Can only imagine the weekend ski traffic has gotten much worse. We used to get a lot of crawdads out of the creek below the lake.
