Has anyone had any first hand experience with the field and stream talon 12 fishing kayak? Im looking for a kayak around 500 dollers or less that would be good in lakes rivers and the sound. also looking at the ascend 12t. need a weight capacity of 350+. any information would be greatly appreciated thank you.

I used that model for my first year of kayak fishing.  I enjoyed it as my beginning boat.  After that I switch ed to an Outback.

I've had the chance to paddle one and there is a night and day comparison between the F&S and a T11, T13, tarpon, etc. Its really worth the extra money if you want something that paddles well.
