Someone should bring a pitcher or 2 to make hydrating the fish cleaning crew a bit easier.
I plan on bringing 2 fillet knives and a honer/sharpener.
I can also bring a few hours worth of wood too.
I will bring a growler or two for that.

Ninkasi has confirmed beer will be ready to pick up.  They didnt ask us for choice but are giving Total Domination and Wunderbier Kolsch-Style Beer.  I will update first page for food items shortly to reflect member items.

One thing was brougbt to my attention- we need Firewood of anybody has any!

I do have a ton of old fencing i just took down if anybody wants to help half the boards and haul it out there?

I can't make ORC, but I have a fair bit of nicely dry firewood that I'd be happy to donate if anyone wants to pick it up.  Not sure if anyone from this far north is planning to go, but if so PM me and we'll work something out to get the wood down there.

If you want I can stand near the dock and keep you all properly hydrated with a garden hose.

Do you prefer a light drizzle, PDX shower, or an all out FIRE HOSE?   >:D

I don't know if Chinook Bend has a rule on bringing your own firewood, probably not, but transporting firewood long distances isn't really a good idea because it can spread invasive species. Just my $0.02.

Chinook Bend would rather you buy $$$ wood from them.
But you can bring all the wood you can carry and you won't get any crap about it. You could ask about bringing in a truck load prior to the event. Got a 50/50 chance it would be okay. Though they might see it as taking away potential "profit" from them.

  "Can I have a fire"
There are fire-rings at most but not all of the campsites at Chinook Bend.
Just don't be stupid about fires and pick your site accordingly. If you get stuck in a site without a ring.... go share one with your neighbor that does. That is part of the enjoyment---- sharing a campfire with like minded folk. ::)
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

You are allowed to bring wood from WA and ID into Oregon. Not from California though. Whether it's a good idea or not is another story, but the Oregon authorities have considered and weighed in on the subject.

That's good to know, thanks.

Just a suggestion for next year if NA will be orchestrating the ORC again, would be to set a little of the entry fee cash aside to line up some local firewood to be delivered to the campground for our use.  I have no idea what this would cost, but I have seen over the years many folks do this at various campgrounds when they are having family reunions.  Someone just shows up with a small dump truck, or 1 ton truck and "poof" there's now a 1/2 to 1 cord of wood for the week.

Just a thought.  8)

Love the suggestion, we will ensure that this is on the list for 2016!
