Having not wet a line in a few weeks, I just had to get out.  Drove down to Kennedy Creek to give the chums a go.  When I got there the tide was way out and the creek was but a trickle.  When the tide started coming in around 8:30-ish the chums pushed into the estuary.  I followed them up the mudflats and managed to catch 3, all about 10-12 pounds.  Two were hooked right in the mouth, one was snagged in the dorsal (oops), all were released.  Had 2 other hookups that didn't stick.  By 10:00 the flats were flooded and the fishermen were all crowded in a couple places, by the 101 bridge and right at the access.  Combat fishing is not my thing so I called it a day.  Hey, at least I got to yank on a few fish.

For you fly guys ... I fished near 3-4 fly fishers most of the time.  One of them was on fire on a small bright green woolly bugger looking thing.  They looked like they were having fun.

Funny how popular the chums have become. When I lived in Oly, I hardly ever had company, or competition, at Kennedy.

I'll bet the fly guys did have fun.
