Hi there,

I moved to Seattle a couple years ago, and am just getting into figuring out fishing around here now that I'm better established. I've rented kayaks a couple times and fell in love with it. I'm used to fishing off of center console fishing boats in Florida, so this will be a new thing for me, but I'm really excited about blending the fun of kayaks and fishing. I'm really interested in the viking kayaks, but there doesn't seem to be a local dealer for them. I may end up with a hobie, but I like the general design and features that the vikings offer. I'll have the winter to save and think, and hopefully a viking dealer will crop up in the NW. I'll likely go back to lurking, but nice to meet you all.

Welcome to the forum.  Sit on top kayak is the way to go.  I test ride them all and get what works for you and ask or read up on the forum to see what everyone likes.  Good luck and be safe.

Welcome,

I spent a good part of last fall/winter researching fishing Kayaks before I bought one this summer.  Been out a handful of times and I am really enjoying it.
