Yesterday, went out with Mojo Jojo and Mccormick "pre dawn Tillamook launch" caught my first fish and pulled up my first crab trap from a yak; it was a blast.  It was a great sight to see as schools of rockfish swam up to the water surface to feed on anything they can find.  After a while, I felt seasick and ended up chumming the water but was determined to continue. Trolled around for salmon with no luck, but for myself, it was a great learning experience.  It was my first time on the salt and an unforgettably fun time.

Thanks Mojo Jojo and NWKA

+1 and a little heavier line for salmon they like to pull hard.  Your very welcome and let me know when you want to go again if I'm free I'll go fish with you again. You learn fast and roll with the snags.

    This is only the start.......

Good job ---- now go get some more......
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I would love to get him out at PC before the end of the year but he needs to read the motion sickness thread and experiment with cures in the bay first. Or at least let us get some pics of the lean wrench  >:D

Thanks Mark, yes it is only the beginning.  It's time for me  to get geared up for salmon and hook my first chinook.
