a friend and i went out to laurence today for a little fishing. the trout were willing once i figured out  how to rig a sink tip with a small wooly bugger. wind was strong and had a hard time turning a few times. those with a trident 13 kayak what seat do you use? the factory one? i am not all that happy with it as my rear went numb after about 3 hours. need a better seat a better paddling pants and a paddle leash. very fun day!!

Yes the factory seat pretty much sucks after a few hours, I plan to upgrade mine soon with a Surf to Summit seat. I belive the GTS model is the one I was looking at and runs about $160. You can find them at Outdoorplay and Austin Kayak as well as other places.

I have a 13' Trident, a 2013 13' Revolution with a similar seat, and a recumbent bicycle.  I don't have any objections to either the Trident seat or the Revolution seat, and put in many long days in those seats.  Try messing with the adjustments on the seat.  When paddling, you should be sitting up straight, not lying back like in a Barca-Lounger.  If your weight is on the back of your hips, your butt is likely to get numb.  If your weight is on the bottom of your butt, you probably won't have that problem.

+1 on the Surf to Summit GTS Elite. The Expedition looks nice but the butt cushion is too thick.
