Onyx "MoveVent" PFDs

I did a search for Onyx here and in the product discussions forums and did not get any hits. So is anyone wearing one of these PFD's? They look to be pretty comfortable -- and affordable.

Don't know anything about them, and they aren't listing the pounds of flotation for them.  Interesting design, 'though.

The missing  flotation weight listing, is a bone head error and should be corrected asap if they expect to sell these to "experienced users".

Type III is 15.5 lbs minimum.

Yep, but is it the minimum, which is sketchy for the an "average" person who's beyond swimming distance to the beach, IMO, or is it more than minimum?  Either way, the floatation rating should be listed.

I can't find a flotation rating beyond the Type III classification, but it sure gets raves for comfort from reviewers on multiple sites.

I don't doubt that it gets raves for comfort.  It is a very interesting design.  Me, personally, speaking only for me, am most concerned about floating.

I don't see why a PFD can't be both comfortable and have a high floatation rating.  If you do find out how buoyant it is, let us know.
