I am an active kayak fisherman from NCKA. I frequently find myself up in Oregon visiting family or on road trips with the kayak and thought I should join NWKA to share some of my reports. I've kayaked and shore fished various bodies of water in Oregon over the past two years. Miller lake, O'dell Lake, Diamond Lake, Trail Bridge Reservoir (no dice), Smith Reservoir (no dice), Klickitat Lake, Foster Lake, Wahtum Lake, Willamette (no dice) and Santiam Rivers, Depoe Bay and jetty fishing Newport (no dice).  I'll start posting reports once the kayak trips to Oregon start rolling through again. maybe the week after Christmas.

Hey Andrew, welcome to the site. Yeah let us know the next time you're coming through! Where do you mostly fish in Nor Cal? Seems from Davis you'd have a lot of options.

Hey Andrew. I cut my teeth spearfishing and ab diving from a kayak from Ft. Ross to Anchor Bay, with most of my time around Sea Ranch. Those days it was a year round fishery and cabezon were always on the menu. Welcome to the board, lots of great people here willing to provide guidance (that I need a lot of!)

I've been doing the AOTY for NCKA for the first time this year so I've been covering a lot of ground.  Spend the most time Ling/Rock fishing between Fort Ross/Timber Cove/Anchor Bay, Salmon (King, though I mostly catch and released Coho) fishing Shelter Cove/Trinidad, Kokanee/Lake-Trout fishing in the lakes around Lake Tahoe (but not yet Lake Tahoe).

Hey Andrew-

Shoot a pm here or on NCKA on your way through, I'm in hornbrook (siskiyou co CA) often enough and Sasquatch lives there.  Klamath River and numerous lakes are great fishing.  Also been fishing Brookings a bit and will be fishing it more often when ocean conditions allow since rockfish is year round in Oregon and we only get a 5 month season here.
