I fished Homer Friday april 8...focused on 150-200 ft..just caught one small halibut and a bunch of cod.  Would have preferred to go to whiskey gulch that day but the tides/current seemed to be ripping pretty hard so wouldnt have been much time fishing.

I'm heading to whiskey gulch tomorrow if the weather forecast holds true. I'll post a report. Gonna try my new king kandy lure, I heard they work pretty well. Also going to try jig for some halibut, another thing I haven't tried...always just fished straight up bait.

Fishing relaxes me. It's like yoga except I get to kill something.
