I have a few fishing (kayak or otherwise) related YouTube channels that I'm subscribed to.  One in particular that I like is called "Uncut Angling".  It's a Canadian channel that concentrates on multi-species freshwater fish.

Recently they've been running a series called "39 hrs" in which three teams of two anglers fish over the course of a weekend (5 am Sat - 8 pm Sun ... 39 hrs). One team from Manitoba, one team from Saskatchewan, and one team from Ontario.  The team with the largest catch (over 12" rounded down to the nearest 1/4") for each species gets 1 pt.  The more species you win, the more points you get.  Every 8 hours the teams have to report in to each other their current catches.  For the show, they've broken the tournament into these 8 hour segments and post one 20-30 episode for each segment each week.    They've been sponsored by each province's tourist board as well as Shimano.  For each point that a team earns, Shimano is donating a dozen decent fishing rods to that team's choice of kid's fishing charities.

I've been watching the tournament on the Uncut Angling YouTube channel, but this might be an easier place to find it.

Anyway, I've been trying to figure out how we could run something like this with kayaks.  Obviously it would require teams, preferably from different geographic areas, and lots of action cam  (i.e. GoPro) videography.

Anyone interested?

If you put it together, I'd give it a try down here.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

So, what you're saying is we may have a new competition coming known as AOTW (Angler of the Weekend).   8)

In for team southern Oregon/northern Jefferson.  Lots of water I've been wanting to try, this is a good excuse.

I'd be willing to try it out. Sounds fun. It wouldnt be too much of a commitment if its just a weekend at a time.
