Hi everyone my name is Ben kohler I'm new to kayak fishing. I live in Olympia washington and just got my first kayak today. I'm recently retired from the Army and looking to get out and fish more with my kids. Feel free to ask me any questions I look forward to trying out this new kayak and play with the fish.

Welcome Ben! What kind of kayak do you own? Are you looking at mostly fresh water fishing, or  get into the salt? Either way, you are going to get addicted!

It's a malibu x factor. And I'll do any kind of fishing really but I think I'll try for some bass first before I venture out to the bay.lol

Welcome to the group and retirement.  Not close to Olympia, but I do some freshwater fishing in Wa, if I get anywhere close, I'll give you a holler.

Thank you for your service, Ben, and welcome to the group.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
