2015+ Hobie seat scupper assembly

Hobie is aware of this.

Its pretty straight forward to remove it. You can always put it back if you want. You just have to be careful not to damage the lugs on the threaded plugs. It takes a special tool, but I used a pair of snap ring pliars and that worked pretty good to get it loose enough to thread the rest of the way by hand.

That scupper is just too restricted for it to flow out very well with the small venturi, and definitely not when not moving. With your butt suspended in the Vantage CT seat it shouldn't get wet anyhow and just drain quickly if water does get in there. Now that's with my fat ass and all my gear in a Revo 11! Needless to say, I was displacing some water and have a bit of draft.

You'll want to also make sure there isn't anything stuck in that drain. It collects stuff pretty easily if you leave it open.  It really doesn't drain well once you get some stuff stuck in it.
