I've decided to go with a Folbe Advantage for my first track mounted rod holder--I wanted a 'clamshell' design and locking base. I'm mounting it on a GT90 track with the Fullback backing plate. For a 2 point mount is the Mightymount the best, or only solution?

Stealth makes a 2 pt mount but I'm not sure if it is compatible with folbe or not.

The Stealth base seems to be Folbe compatible, but I'm looking for a locking setup. Locking probably isn't an issue with a holder like Stealth makes, but for the clamshell style that you pull up to release the rod not having a locking base seems like a good way to make donations to Neptune.

The posts on Stealth's rod holders look like the posts on Scotty rod holders, but Stealth's webpage doesn't identify which rod holders are compatible with Stealth's bases, including the two-point track base.  E-mail Jason and ask him if a Folbe rod holder will work in the two-point base.

I'm a big fan of using locking bases for my trolling rod holders so I can't pull the rod holder out of its base when I get a strike and jerk the rod out of its holder.  If you like the Stealth two-point rod holder except for the fact that it isn't a locking base, you could turn it into a locking base by drilling a hole through the base and the rod holder's post and sticking a pin through them.  Leash the pin to the base.

For suggestions about how to make your own bases which go on a gear track, see http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=13167.msg144750#msg144750 .
