:police: I'm reading the regulations and can't find where it says if treble hooks are permitted or excluded from use on the Willamette.  Does anyone know??  Or where to find the description for said regs?  Thanks.

WILLAMETTE ZONE REGULATIONS
1. The use of barbless hooks is required when angling for salmon, steelhead, or trout in Willamette River downstream of Willamette Falls (including Multnomah Channel and Gilbert River) and in lower Clackamas River upstream to Highway 99E bridge.

If you are fishing above the falls, I don't see the rule of barbless applied.

You can have anything in your bag, but if you're fishing, you need to pinch the barbs down.  I've been checked by the sheriff, and they were checking for barbless hooks!  Don't "forget"...that's illegal  :police:

I fish the ocean for salmon, so most of my gear has trebles switched out for siwash barbless hooks but I bought a new lure and will try it with the factory treble (barb pinched^3).
THANKS.

I hate treble hooks with a passion.  The only lures I have with treble hooks are my Rapala's that I use for lake fishing.  But they still annoy the hell out of me.

In the hard copy version, it's on Page 36.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Don't worry. He's just getting accustomed to Dad jokes. He's got time to make them more lame before his son is able to appreciate them.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.
