This happened over a year ago now, but I just got around to editing the video. Priorities and stuff...  :P

Aug of 2014 while freediving for crab near Chambers Creek, I lost my Hero 2. Looked for a while, but visibility and current were both garbage, so I reluctantly wrote her off as gone forever.

Fast fwd to July 2015. While having a conversation with my wife about buying one of the less expensive GoPros to replace my lost 2 (not making this up. Conversation was really happening) Teddy from Lucid called to tell me someone found my camera and was trying to get in touch with me. As I was hanging up with him, Brad Hole of Kayak fishing WA was beeping in to tell me the exact same thing. After talking with Brad, a Facebook msg from two guys who said they found my camera in Chambers Bay while wading for crab popped up. I asked what beer they drank to say thanks, and was on my way to get it. They wouldn't take the beer, just wanted me to have my camera back. (Again, this really happened) I asked how they figured out it was mine, and how they found me? The SD card, along with the video you see here, also had footage of me ocean salmon fishing on it. So they Facebooked Kayak Fishing WA as a lucky search phrase, and found a few pictures where Brad had tagged me. They shot Brad a message, then googled my name and found a Lucid profile. After messaging Lucid, they were able to find my Polyangler page on Facebook. They even offered me a beer when I showed up to get it! (once again, this really happened) Just genuinely good guys!! We really need more like them in this world!

Cool news!  Some things you just can't make up...   😀
Junk Jigs "BEST USE OF ACTUAL JUNK" category - "That tape should have been a prized possession and not junk. That will be a collectors item in 30 years!” & “There sure is a lot of junk in there.”

Crazy how this stuff happens! The story Lee is referring to was a crab pot I lost in that same area in 2010. It was recovered floating in 300 FOW on the north end of Whidbey Island a few weeks later!

Definitely had her sold! We were about to hit the local stares to see who had what on hand! To be honest I was relieved to get it back and not spend $$$ on another. Plus it's just bad ass that it's still running!!

Great tale!  I'm curious about why you spent 11 minutes ballroom dancing underwater.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Haha, yep... dyslexia for the win! Didn't catch it until I had been posted on the webs. It's what I get for editing at 1am [emoji12]

Great that you got it back and that it was found by some decent people.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't
