Hey guys,

New to Alaska (Air Force) and to the Kayak scene. I had a chance to go out with a friend and experienced Kayaker for some halibut a couple weeks ago out of Whiskey Gulch and had a blast! Looking to get my own Hobie and meet some great people.

Hey thanks Rudy. I've been following you for a couple months now. Your blog and videos are really helpful. The buddy that took me out for my first trip was Martin on the forum. I work with him and he got me to come out for my first trip a few weeks ago. I'm looking to get my own Outback pretty soon so I can get out there a bunch this year. The Alaska group seems pretty tight do Im looking forward to meeting up with you guys and getting some pointers.

Welcome Matt!  You braved pretty rough waters that day and still had a great time.  I'm sure you're cut out for it, and i'll take you along as a fishing partner any day.  Looking forward to this summer and full freezers!
