My buddy and I go kayak fishing regularly and would like to see if there are other kayak anglers in or around Bozeman to go fishing with. We go in nearly any kind of weather, as long as there is open water! We are also open to other areas around southwest Montana and we love fishing and exploring new water. Plenty of fall fishing left, so let's go!

Welcome to the forum!  It's great to hear about you guys, because kayak anglers are pretty scarce in Western Montana.  I've been doing a fair amount of fishing in the Helena area, but do most of my fishing in the region near Missoula.  If you come out this way, look me up.

YaknDave great photos. Planning to be ready to get out for my first actual kayak fishing trip by next spring.

I want to see a closer picture of the dog which is on the kayak in the background in your last picture!

Do you guys fish Hyalite reservoir?  That was one of my favorite places to strip a wet fly for monster rainbows.

pmmpete - Thanks for the messages and sorry that I haven't replied sooner.
The dog on my kayak was my Chihuahua and fishing buddy Brutus, who unfortunately was struck and killed by car a few months ago. I've posted a few photos for you.
On more upbeat news my buddy Mark and I just fished Gates of the Mountains outside of Helena last week and caught some big rainbows! Honestly we don't get over to Missoula very often, but if we plan a kayak trip over there, I'll let you know.
Cold weather doesn't stop us – we will be paddling and fishing until the water freezes over!

bndhunter - Thanks for the compliments and when you are ready to get out on the water feel free to hit me up!

bb2fish - We fish Hyalite plenty, and are very familiar with the hungry cutthroat and big rainbow trout of which you mentioned!

I believe Pmmpete was referring to the slightly larger dog on the other kayak just to the right of the trout tail and slightly out of focus behind you.

Whoa! Which of your six pictures shows Brutus!  I can't find him.
