Based on all the stickers and the fact that it hasn't been used yet, it appears to be the Hobie that the CCA raffled off recently.

Bummer the winner didn't decide to give it a try, but who knows what situation they are in... Someone will be getting a good deal!

If the winner already had a boat he or she was happy with, or otherwise knew that they didn't want this boat, why is it a bummer that they didn't go put miles on it?  Right now this is a "like new" boat.  With miles on the clock, it's a "used" boat.

Miles or no, it is still a used boat, in that Hobie'a warranty cannot transfer.

It's a slow day at work if I'm arguing Craigslist item condition description semantics on a item I have no interest in  ;)

Where are you getting this from? Everything I have read says the warranty transfers since Hobie warranties based of of serial number not an owner.

According to the director of Parts and Accessory sales it transfers (albeit with less coverage? Doesn't say what is less.)

Ha! I am in the same boat today... Well not the same boat... I think we all wouldn't mind owning this specific boat  ;)

"To obtain warranty service
Within 30 days of discovering a defect, take your boat, along with proof of purchase (sales receipt or registration card) to the authorized Hobie dealer...."

How firm they are on their policy is another question.
