When will a decision be made on a weather cancellation or postponement for the ORC?

Saturday 7/9/2016: Per Weather Channel "Periods of rain. High near 60F. Winds SSW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall near a quarter of an inch.

Per NOAA: Possibly a thunderstorm.

Rain and chilly temps won't cause cancellation (nor would fog).  Winds in the small craft advisory zone (25-38mph), and swells sufficient for the Coast Guard to limit the bar for sure will.  Not sure what the insurance requirements are for this shin-dig, they may be less than that, but for sure we'd not be fishing in those conditions.

Now, your personal limits may be considerably lower too.  I would not choose to go out knowing it was blowing 15-20mph even if the tournament was still officially on.

You may have jinxed us!  NOAA Forecast is now for SW winds at 15-20kts (17-23mph) and gusts to 25kts (29mph).  West swell at 5' with 4' wind waves.  If that holds we'll get a small craft advisory (>18kts for 2 hours).  Let's all pray for the weather to settle down.  Personally I can handle 5' swell, but add 4' wind waves and sustained winds in excess of 15mph and I'm in a no-go frame of mind, even if there's not a SCA.  With a West swell and fairly strong winds from the SW I imagine that will make the hole rather sporty and could restrict the bar even if the SCA conditions aren't quite met.
