went to swan island today for the first time on the water in a few weeks. got to the ramp at about 1:30 was off the water about 5:00. caught about 6 smallmouth the biggest went maybe 10 in. paddled down stream to a bunch of pilings and that is where i got most of my fish. lost my first fish ever on a crankbait. and had my first bite i think on  dropshot rig "that is hard". got most of my fish on a bobber and jig. weather was nice and saw i think 4 other kayak fishers and one of them had a whale of a carp on it looked like. was enjoyable.
