Got out on my first salt water fishing experience and had a blast. I went for 3 hours and managed a rock cod, flounder, coho and ling. The coho shook the hook at the side of the kayak and the others were too small but I did get some kayak Mojo!  Here's a few pictures of my first outting, some nice 4-5' waves once I got out of the sheltered water and the kayak was great. I tried standing once but quickly realized it was not a good idea😂

Great 1st time experience! Quite a varied bag you got there, too. Did you catch all of them on the same rig, or were you changing things up and targeting different species?

I am from Nanaimo and of all things, I run a fly fishing forum. This gear fishing is a little out of my element but I'm catching on. I was using a 2oz green Lil nib jig made right here in Nanaimo. I tried to make it out again this week but working night shift is tiring. Next week I'm gonna hit the water for sure
