A little different outrigger

My trident 13 is plenty stable and I'm used to paddling a 21" sea kayak up to 40 miles in a day, so balance isn't an issue.  But curiosity got the best of me and I picked up 4 of these off craigslist.  Not sure of the make, no writing anywhere but quite and interesting setup. 

Both the outrigger and bracket are reasonably strong. The strap holds the pontoon to the bracket quite well.

There are two insert holes, one lowers the pontoon about 3 inches.

The pontoon is 38 inches long and the bracket is 41 and is set up to secure with a strap, although it might not stay that way.  I'm thinking I might try a single outriggers when I'm sure I'll be using the downrigger.  I have enough built-in and pole holders I can look like the fighter in Top Gun if I want so I'm thinking about using one behind the seat for a quick insert-mount.  Using the pattern of the existing bracket I could easily fabricate a wooden brack for greater variance in how the pontoon sits.

Wondering if anyone has seen these/knows what they came off and if anyone was interested in two I could share the fun/imagination of fitting them to a kayak.  I got a deal (maybe?) on all four and a pair would run $50-60 depending on the volume of brews to discuss what to do with them:-)  At the very least you might not look like the clothes drying rack got stuck to the back of the kayak:-)))))
