Good news Oregon folks ODFW is extending the 2 rod endorsement to most of of the Oregon estuaries for fall Chinook.  Unfortunately the Columbia is not one of them, but there are plenty more estuaries to fish.

I plan on using my second rod to try new things, like trolling with an 8 wt fly rod.

Okay... Now it gets interesting.  When they opened it up in the spring, that was barely just a bit more fun than single rod, primarily due to.....  well, springers being springers.

Can just imagine the chaos in some of the coastal combat zones - especially when Craig trolls through a pod of chinook and gets his double on, in the middle of a pack of power boats!!!

One should not in the link above, a number of restrictions.  For the north coast, the Nehalem is restricted, 2 poles only valid Sept 16 - Oct 31.

A bobber down is exciting, two bobbers down will be an epic cluster.  Can't wait!
