Just wanted to show y'all, anontypical surf launch of 80 participants in an Extreme tournament. I didn't try this cuz of my shoulder. Past the surf the water was 3 directions. Coasties called it at noon because of deteriorating conditions, nearly all hulied at least once and a TI flipped end for end. Art

Great picture.  I'm not a hobie owner, but it looks like the rudder or whatever is sticking out the back really didn't want in the water very bad. Looks like an inflatable PDF...

If you're launching a hobie with a paddle, you want the rudder up. Otherwise, it'll turn and you have no free hand to turn it straight again.
