Will be doing a saltwater flyfishing Q& A seminar at the Sunset Bay Angler of the Day Tournament on Aug. 27, It will be at 3:30 after the weigh-in. So if your starting to dapple in it or just completely new or maybe just curious, bring your questions and I'll see if I can get you some answers.

I'm glad to hear that, Scott.  You've been incredibly helpful to me over the past year.

If you want to learn about fly fishing in the sea from a kayak, Scott's the guy.  And I know from sad personal experience, he's just as fierce with kayak fly-fishing in freshwater...

See you at AOTD!

Scott,
Thanks for being willing to do this.  I look forward to attending and learning more about saltwater fly fishing.

The two best times to fish is when it’s raining and when it ain’t. -Patrick McManus

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

This sounds awesome, but I'll be at camp washing my gear. Hopefully I'll make it back over to the weigh in to participate.

Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait! I'll be staying in the state park from Sunday till Sunday the week of the tournament. Seeing post about festivities, opportunities, and fishing has me all pumped up[emoji12] Now if I can just keep my head in the game well enough to not kill me with at work this week all will be GREAT! I'll chase you down for the seminar, Cap'n.  You're my closest competition in the on-the-fly side challenge, and I want to know what questions you're asking.   ;D

Ha! Well I've been putting in some time but so far have not come up with much on the fly rod. Still hoping for a strong fall; we'll see.

I think I came off wrong earlier - I'll make it happen - looking forward to this. I just thought the timing was kind of odd. But I should be well off the water and cleaned up by then so I'll be there. Thanks for putting the effort into this!

I haven't bettered that rockfish - yet - and between Scott and Paul, this will be a good way to learn how I might do that.
