Looks like Puget Sound area 12 (south of the hood canal bridge) has some long salmon openings from about now to the end of April 2017, given various species rules at times.  Has anyone put in at the bridge (east or west wide) with 1-2 hours left on the flood, floated in and then back to the bridge with the ebb flow? Looks good for a 4-5 hour float with limited paddling and max fishing time? (Page 123 of the 130+ pages of the regs).  Couldn't do it till at least mid-September or later, just wondering about the area if someone has or knows the area?

Couldn't tell from the graphic, but how far away from Sub Base Bangor is that?
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

Bangor is 7 miles down on the east side, I was looking at 3-4 miles on the west side unless someone thought different.

There are some tides that would work for a late return around the 17th of September, but the 8-9 or October look a little better... for this ride?

I know if you get close to that bridge on a windy day, it's a freaking washing machine, big time.  Don't be there when the wind is blowing you towards the bridge.

There's just been a push of kings into the canal, and a 4-fish limit!!

Downside is Indian nets..

You might want to read the regs carefully.  This is copied from page 121.  I take this as kings must be released.  I also heard that while nets are fully, sport fishing is slow.
