The close call at Sunset Bay is a reminder of how important it is to not go out alone.  That in mind, I live near Ashland and want to focus on Brookings for my fishing trips, but have no one to call for weekdays. If anybody is planning on fishing Sept 12-14 weather permitting, or any future dates including weekends, I'd sure like to make contact.  My email is [email protected]

Thanks!

Ken

Hey ken.

There's a handful of folks around that fish brookings.  One of my favorite spots.  I'm probably not going to hit it until the chetco bubble, you planning on hitting it?

If the long range forecast holds up Tues and Wed. next week, and someone else is able to go, I believe so.  The possibility of fog is always there, so maybe a local can provide that information the day before.

well, the stars are out and all is clear....this means the same pattern as the last week. Launch at dawn and blown off by 10.
Not sure if the salmon season is still open, however, I do know it is extremely slow for them here, just not many out there at this time.
The Slammin' Salmon Derby was not so good this year, with only a few fish caught by what looked like 60 to 100 boats on the water.
I am on-line here every morning between 5 and 6 AM, PM me in the evening for the following days info.
Glad to help when I can.

Much appreciated.  Frustrating to have such beautiful weather but rough sea.

Salmon Closed yesterday in the KMZ and will not open again until the bubble fishery.
