Took the day off Friday to relax a little...hit a small lake in the Valley and managed 22 native bows...all released to fight another day.

It was a great day...started out pretty cold, line guides were icing up. I'd give it two more weeks and most of the smaller lakes will be nearly iced over up here.

Sweet!  Reat job!

I'm probably going to hit a lake Sunday. Not sure which yet.

Have you decided on a lake? I'm half tempted to try Louise, leaving early tomorrow, but looks like it's been plenty cold up there and is probably frozen over near shore.

No, not yet.  Was thinking Big Lake, Honeybee, Fire, or Finger Lake.

9.8 degrees as I check....BRRRRR.....

You can look here.  Fog is covering the view a little but if it clears, you can usually tell through the webcam.  If the water is open, it might be some GREAT fishing!!!

The webcam.  Should update everytime you refresh.

Big Lake sounds like a good idea...far less driving time, warmer and the potential for more species.
