I am new to this and thought it would be fun.  I like to fish and surf, saw plenty of guys going out in kayaks while stationed in Hawaii.  Can't really surf anymore now that I am stationed in Washington, so thought I would pick this up.  Looking at buying  an outback.  figure if I ever get back to Hawaii I could continue to use it to fish and to hit the outer reefs for surfing.

Welcome to the South Sound!! Lots of productive waters in your greater area. Most of what WA has to offer can be caught within 2 hours of Tacoma. Our NW chapter of HOW operates in this area as well.  If you're interested in volunteering with us, feel free to msg me anytime for more info.

If you're looking to buy a new Outback, Gig Harbor Watersports is a great shop!  Not to mention They're your only local shop [emoji6] Cool spot with a great crew of people. They're motivated to move some new 2016 Outbacks right now. Garunteed they'll make you a screaming deal! Ask for Blake, Bryant, Dave, or Herman, and make sure to name drop me.

+1 on welcome, and on crossing over the Bridge to visit Gig Harbor Watersports!  Lots of Hobie options, plus Native Propels you can try out.  You may decide a propellor is better than flippers, for you.  Or that your knees prefer a circular motion over a push-pull motion, like mine...
