Good afternoon!
Been a fisherman all my life but need more exercise so I decided to get a kayak to go fishing. Got my new yak and working on getting it ready to hit the water. I will be asking a lot of questions on the rigging board I am sure. Would love to find a yaker club in the south sound area.

There isn't really a club, but there are lots of us in the South sound. When spring rolls around you'll see people start posting about outings

Congrats on the kayak. You're not too far from where I live. Lot's of decent lakes close by. Tanwax is open year round, but I heard there's some ice forming in the middle of the lake. If you are a Veteran, you should check out the local Heroes On the Water Chapter, you can join them on their events. We fish freshwater and saltwater on our events.

I am a vet so I will definitely check out the hero's on the water.... I have been to a ton of lakes in Washington in my 50 years, but I am always up for a new one!

I purchased an Ocean Kayak Prowler Big Game II. I am a bigger guy so I needed the weight capacity this one provides and still able to go fast enough to handle bigger water also. Here in the next two weeks I have to start adding accessories, rudder, beach wheels, crate, and so on ..... Normally the first outing of the year for me is first weekend of march, gotta have it ready to go!
