Finally graduated from a tent and hope to do a fair amount of coastal camping. Obviously, I'm looking for places with easy access to fishing the salt. I broke in the trailer at Cape Lookout State Park and Sunset Bay last Fall...but conditions didn't suit fishing. Suggestions for Washington or N. California also welcome. Nice vibe and good scenery are important, as is dog-friendly, as I have a friendly labrador.

Given my job, if I have good wi-fi and cell service, some weeks I could even work from anywhere I choose, so if a location has those services, knowing it would turn a work week into a partial vacation ;-)

Thanks!
Dave

Shelter Cove, California is a Mecca for ocean kayak fishing in Jefferson. Cell service isn't high speed or all that great and you will need VERIZON or US cellular. ATT does not provide service there.

Trinidad California but cell service is spotty at the campground. In town it's fine.

Brookings has all the amenities you are looking for.
