Hey NWKA. I'm a member of NCKA and am heading up to Vancouver and Vancouver island in June with my wife. We are looking to take a chartered fishing trip on a boat (non yak for the Mrs.) and would like some possible suggestions for us. We are open to targeting just about whatever is biting but would prefer salmon and halibut.

Excited to explore this board specifically for trout fishing too. You guys have that down up north.

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew, welcome to the group! I've heard "no bananas guide service" can put you on some fish.  I believe they run out of Vancouver island. Good luck!

We've traveled to the Island several times and will be back in July.  Some great brew pub crawling if that rings your bell.  We've had really nice package deals using BC ferries out of Surrey in Canada which puts you on the inside at Sidney as well as the Black Ball ferry system out of Port Angeles WA which takes you into Victoria.  Ucuelet has lots of charters on the west side and our next trip will be to Tofino which also has charters.
Nice beaches to walk along on the west side as well, you'll have fun.
