I need a power cable for a Lowrance Hook fish finder.  Called tech support - twice - and both times gat the wrong part number.  The number I was given is apparently for the European market, because Google only returns retailers in the EU.

Does anyone know the correct part number?

Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

Yes and no.  That one will work - it cross-references to the part number I got from Lowrance - but it's blue, and I'm easily confused.  Two blue connectors and I'll spend all day sitting on the beach trying to figure out which goes where...

 ;D

Thanks for the links!

I wonder why we can't get the red-top cables when we need a new one?

Just wrap some red tape on the new cable near the blue end.

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

I had the same issue with my Lowrance Elite unit. I needed a new power cable because the pins broke on mine. The only one I could get locally was blue and had some extra wires I did not need. I ended up simply going with it. Without looking at my unit I think the transducer cable is female end, and the power plug is male? Shouldn't be able to get them confused... At least plugging them in that is.

Thank you, James, but that's way too simple and doesn't give me any reason to whine...  The second cable on the replacement unit it the NMEA cable and when I cut that, I'll use red shrink tubing to seal the end... now that you've suggested marking the power cable with something red.

Appreciate it.

Tinker.  How are you able to get both socks onto the correct feet in the morning buddy?   ;)

Don't be silly.  The red sock goes on your left foot and the green one goes on your right.   :banjo:

You do realize that only applies to Fridays.  :nono:
