Hi all,

Long time Kayaker/Angler and just heard about this place the other day.  I'm looking to do a bit more kayak fishing on the Oregon coast, but going alone isn't safe. Hoping to learn some things and meet some people :D

Hello and welcome!

Opportunities abound! Can you tell us more about your boat and gear? Good call on not going alone without mitigating as many risks as you can. There are several of us in the Eugene area (and outside) that would be happy to show you some ropes.

Wanna go clamming on Sunday? Maybe fish if the conditions will allow...

Oregon Rockfish Classic is happening on July 15 - even if you don't fish the tournament, the raffle and the fish taco feeding frenzy is a great way to socialize with other kayakers  and make some connections for future trips.  Lots of opportunities abound for the ocean, salmon and inland lakes.  Post up your interests and you'll be sure to find kayak buddies.  You should take browneyesvictim up on his offer to go clamming if you can - that'll be a hoot!
