Hi there. I've been following NWKA for quite awhile and figured I needed to make an account.
I live in Oregon and spend most of my time around Eugene. I usually kayak fish Crane Prairie Reservoir, the upper Willamette, and the Coast (usually around Brookings, PC, and Sunset Bay).
I recently got serious about kayak fishing in the ocean, I recently bought a 13' Hobe Revo, which I'm currently struggling with ( can't reach the dang pedals without being on the very edge of my seat). Prior to my Hobe, I used a 10' sit inside Malibu which I love.

Welcome.  Sounds like you are getting to fish a lot of varied places.  That is one of the things I really enjoy about having a kayak.

Where you are having a hard time reaching the pedals, just wanted to confirm that you have them adjusted all the way back to position 1?
The two best times to fish is when it’s raining and when it ain’t. -Patrick McManus

Being retired, they pay me when I go fishing, therefore I am kind of a professional fisherman.

Welcome Timber!
Sounds like you have quite an upgrade with the Hobie! Is it a 2015+ model with the newer seat or an older model? I am not sure how tall you are, but my little cousin who is 5'2" has no issues reaching the pedals in his Revo 13, this is of course with the pedals adjust up quite a bit.

If you're free you should definitely check out the Angler of the day tournament at Sunset bay the weekend of the 26th!

Welcome tt! You are not alone in the Eugene area! That Revo is a great boat! Definitely worth checking out the Sunset Bay Angler of the Day tourney. A bunch of us will be scattered around at the State Park and/or Bastendorf. Might be hard getting a spot reserved this late though.... and assuming you have the necessary immersion gear, etc. for the salt. Ill be in B36 at the State Park.
Better to keep ones mouth shut and presumed a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
